Overview

Army Public School Kapurthala is situated in the erstwhile princely state of Kapurthala, Punjab. Army Public School, Kapurthala traces its roots back to the year 1992. Inaugurated by Brig Vinod Suri Cdr 23 (1) Armd Bde, the then chairman of school. Over the years, the school has grown into a full-fledged Senior Secondary School, comprising of Commerce and Humanities streams. The school being co-educational provides a holistic approach to children.

A new building of the Army Public School Kapurthala was inaugurated on 05 Nov 2020 by Lt Gen Sanjeev Sharma, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps and the Senior Patron of the School. The school boasts of well-equipped Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Computer and Tinkering Laboratories to cater to the needs of individual students along with a colossal school library having a wide collection of general and reference books. In addition to these physical resources, E-newspapers and E-publications are being channelled to the students in order to keep them at pace with ever growing knowledge and competitive exams.

The school also stresses on co-curricular activities. The school has adequate playgrounds for various sports and games. The school has also introduced Archery and Fencing. The school has sufficient furniture for each age group which not only provides comfort but also helps in maintaining right posture. Average class strength of each class is 40 students (approx). Students are extensively prepared for Secondary School and All India Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
